I agree that even though you are miearrd, you should attempt to spend time together. My husband once had a convention in Las Vegas that I surprised him on. A friend of ours contacted me to take the kids for two days and since our kids all got along well, I decided to take her up on her offer. Her husband was at the convention and my husband’s roommate. My husband never knew that I was coming but said that it all made sense when he was being asked when he was going to the festivities, like something was being planned that he did not know about lol. It was a great way to awaken our marriage as the kids tend to always be present. Being the Mom of 4, I can tell you that even though you take a vacation with the kids, you still need to find time for the two of you. It should never be entirely about the kids! There are many ways in which you can escape to a moment that is between you and your spouse/partner/significant other that does not have to involve the children. It does not have to be for a long period of time either, so keep that in mind the next time that you could use a break .
