Green Fashion for St Patrick’s Day
Most of us celebrate St. Patrick’s Day by going out to a party or bar to meet other people and enjoy green beverages. Unlike the weekends, many more people will venture out for St. Patrick’s Day, regardless of what day of the week it falls on (this year it falls on a Saturday, so expect the weekend to be very crazy). As with any night out, guys want to look good for the occasion and to grab the attention of other single ladies at the bar.
On St. Patrick’s Day, guys want to look fashionable while incorporating green into their outfit. This doesn’t mean that you should dress up like a leprechaun. Although we certainly don’t condone going all out for the day, ladies are going to be less likely to want to be seen with you around their friends. In general, just including a few green items will show the single ladies that you are celebrating the holiday, but care about what they think of your appearance. Below is an example of how you can fashionably incorporate green into your wardrobe:
With March bringing warmer temperatures, you will likely be warm enough with a polo and pair of jeans. For a brighter green polo, I suggest wearing a dark pair of blue jeans. This will look very sharp and will grab the attention of the single ladies. If it’s cold outside, you can opt for a green button down shirt to go with your dark blue jeans. If you have a pair of sneakers that have green in them, wear them on St. Patrick’s Day. If not, stick to a nice pair of loafers or white sneakers to go with this ensemble. To spice up your outfit for this special day, you can include a couple of green accessories. If you can get your hands on a cheap green top hat, you’ll look fine wearing it at the bars or St. Patrick’s Day party. Green sunglasses, beads, and necklaces will also go well with almost any outfit that has green in it.
A question we’ve been asked several times is whether it matters what shade of green you wear for St. Patrick’s Day. While a brighter green tends to be the most popular, we don’t believe it matters what shade of green you wear. The only suggestion we can give is to make sure that all shades of green in your outfit match. You don’t want to wear a dark green shirt with shoes that have a lighter green color or logo. The only exception is if the shade of green in your accessories is slightly off from the color of your shirt.
We hope this helps you dress to impress the single ladies at the bar or your St. Patrick’s Day party!
